Village tree ceramics by Rena Makari

Rena Makari is a passionate ceramist making unique pottery in limited quantities.

A few years ago, aiming to share her passion with the world, Rena opened her cute workshop “Village Tree Ceramics” in Nea Smirni, Athens, where she works on her creations, exhibits and sells her art products, as well as organizes seminars for amateurs of pottery, children etc.

Originating from the beautiful island of Naxos, the ceramist draws her inspiration from the Aegean landscape, the sun, the blue of the sea, the Cycladic stony alleys, the olive trees, the bay leaves, the sacred Temple of Apollo and the colored sunsets, she has admired there.

All Rena’s works are unique and are distinguished by a minimalist, modern, joyful and cozy approach. Using earthenware and stoneware clay, she creates by hand one of a kind ceramics, both functional and decorative. Dishes, bowls, mugs, coasters, jugs, ladles’ plates, tripod candle sticks and much much more.

To discover the ceramic world of Rena Makari, you can visit her in her workshop at Kratitos 80, Nea Smirni,
