Maybe this preparation looks complicated to you. When to boil the beans, how to peel the chestnuts and all of these silly things. And you know why?
Because you fool yourselves, thinking you are foodies and kitchen persons, when actually you are not ORGANIZED.
Every cook (amateur or prof) or person who insists that he loves cooking, HAS TO MAKE THE BASIC PREPARATIONS FOR THE WEEK’ S MEALS, DURING THE PREVIOUS WEEKEND.
What the fuck do you do on weekends?
Do you go to hairdresser’s? Every weekend?
Do you go to the stadium? So, eat sandwiches, bought by food tracks
Do you go to the disco? Well, it’s clear that at this period of your life, sex is more important to you, than eating.
CONCLUSION: Once a week, or at least, every 15 days, we prepare the stocks, legumes, sofritos, hard vegetables and other preparations which will help us cook well, during weekdays and will reduce every meal’s preparation time. To our recipe now.
As you may have already guessed, we begin by making some preparations in advance, that is, during the previous week-end. More specifically: We make a chicken stock, we boil and peel the chestnuts and boil the beans. How, exactly? You will learn it, reading the best book ever written (the Bible excluded).
On our cooking day, now. Having already prepared stock, beans and chestnuts, we boil the kale and the broccoli in hot and salty water. Separately of course, cos every veggie has a different cooking time. After that, everything is very simple.
We bring our vegetable stock to boil, we control the saltiness and then we pour it into plates and we start, adding the ingredients in the soup.
I forgot to tell you that these ingredients have to be also hot.
We add some olive oil and maybe some lemon drops and that´ s all. Well, some coarse pepper or smashed peperoncino are perfect for the cold winter days.
